TinyLine 2.5 SDK for Java ME returns back Java ME and Nokia Asha platforms support.

2012-05-05 TinyLine 2.5 SDK released
TinyLine 2.5 SDK adds style attribute for better Inkscape SVG files support. Android version now has an example of loading SVG assets into bitmaps. Version for GAE contains fix for PNG alpha channel. J2ME code is no longer supported.

2010-08-22 TinyLine 2.4 SDK released
TinyLine 2.4 SDK adds the support of Google App Engine.
Google App Engine is a cloud-computing infrastructure for creating and running web applications. Google App Engine provides a limited support for the server side graphics. TinyLine fills the gap and brings in the vector graphics to Google App Engine.

2010-02-12 TinyLine 2.3 SDK released
TinyLine 2.3 SDK introduces an improved 2D rendering engine for Java platform with much better performance. Also this version includes drawing images with anti-aliasing. The Programmers Guide is updated.

2009-04-25 TinyLine 2.1 SDK Update Includes Android Support
TinyLine 2.1 SDK Update includes Android support! Android developers will now be able to incorporate SVG Tiny graphics into their applications. TinyLine SVG 2.1 implements an SVG Tiny 1.1+ engine for Android and Java (J2ME CLDC/MIDP, CDC/PP, J2SE) platforms.

2009-04-14 Sneak Preview: TinyLine SVG 2.1 Viewer for Android
This update provides the sneak preview to TinyLine SVG 2.1 for Android. Please read the User Guide and download TinyLine SVG 2.1 Viewer for Android The TinyLine SVG Viewer is an example from the TinyLine SVG 2.1 for Android. It supports user interaction, SMIL animations and hyper linking. TinyLine SVG 2.1 implements an SVG Tiny 1.1+ engine for Android platform.

2008-11-21 TinyLine 2.1 SDK released.
This release features the latest TinyLine 2D 2.1 and TinyLine SVG 2.1 engines that now bundled in a single TinyLine 2.1 SDK.
The Indie License has been introduced for "Indie" developers.
TinyLine 2D 2.1 adds full 2D types support to TinyInputStream and TinyOutputStream, sprites drawing and includes a list of bugfixes.

2008-01-21 TinyLine 2D 2.0_HFA_1 and TinyLine SVG 2.0_HFA_1 released
The latest Hotfix Accumulator - TinyLine 2D 2.0_HFA_1 and TinyLine SVG 2.0_HFA_1 is solving the "circle stroking problem" - rounding error occurred when stoking circles. Tiny Lab recommends that you use the latest HFA in order to stay current with the latest software updates.

2007-11-25 TinyLine 2D 2.0 and TinyLine SVG 2.0 released
This major release features the latest TinyLine 2D 2.0 and TinyLine SVG 2.0 engines for Java CLDC/MIDP2.0, CDC/Personal Profile and J2SE platforms. TinyLine 2D 2.0 introduces multiple target surfaces, binary TinyFont format, etc. TinyLine SVG 2.0 now uses TinyLine 2D 2.0 renderer, improves SMIL animations support, optimizes events handling. Go get them!

This update provides the sneak preview to the latest TinyLine 2D 2.0 and TinyLine SVG 2.0 engines for the wide range of Java profiles: CLDC/MIDP2.0, CDC/Personal Profile and J2SE platforms.

2007-06-08 The TinyLine 2D Benchmark 1.12 released:
TinyLine 2D Benchmark released. Tiny2DBench is a MIDLet suite of benchmarks that allows the user to approximate the performance of TinyLine 2D for J2ME CLDC/MIDP2.0 applications in products such as mobile phones and PDAs.
Tiny2DBench benchmark tests measure how TinyLine 2D handles basic shapes, paths, texts, outlined fonts and images. In addition, it evaluates TinyLine 2D powerful features as transparency, offscreen rendering, advanced color management and antialiased rendering.

2007-01-27 The TinyLine 2D 1.11 for CLDC/MIDP2.0, CDC/Personal Profile and J2SE platforms:
This update provides the latest TinyLine 2D engine for wide range of Java profiles: CLDC/MIDP2.0, CDC/Personal Profile and J2SE platforms.

2006-12-01 The TinyLine 2D 1.11 released:
This commercial release introduces the new fast direct rendering model, the Programming Guide and Examples. New features include right-to-left and vertical text layouts, paths and text hit tests.

This beta release introduces direct and retained rendering models, improved Opacity and Gradients support. New features include right-to-left and vertical text layouts, paths and text hit tests. New examples include direct rendering model, text line breaker, text layouts.

2006-03-23 TinyLine SVG Toolkit 1.10 (2) released:
This second release introduces the performance improvement of the 1.10 version. The significant improvement of performance is about the events loop and I want to thank Marcel for his idea and Daniel for testing the second release. I encourage everyone who downloaded the first release (before March 23) to update it to the second one.

TinyLine SVG Toolkit 1.10 introduces the Gradients and Opacity support for its SVG Tiny rendering engine for Java platform.
TinyLine SVG Toolkit is set of SVG Tiny Players and SDKs. It runs on various Java flavors: J2ME MIDP2.0, J2ME Personal Profile, and J2SE.
The online W3C SVG Tiny Test Suite using TinyLine now includes Opacity and Gradients tests.
Applications programmers could be interested in the TinyLine SDK v1.10 API Specification and the Programmers Guide to TinyLine SVG API.

TinyLine SVG Toolkit 1.9 introduces an upgraded SVG Tiny rendering engine for Java platform with 3GPP SMIL Profile Animations support and the new renderer (TinyLine 2D 1.9) based.
TinyLine SVG Toolkit is SVG Tiny Players and SDKs. It runs on various Java flavors: J2ME MIDP2.0, Nokia Series 60 MIDP, J2ME Personal Profile, and J2SE.

TinyLine SVG 1.9 Prerelease 2 is an SVGT SDK and player for J2ME MIDP 2.0 platform. It adds 3GPP SMIL Profile Animations support to the Prerelease 1 and has bug fixes. Downloads provide the TinyLine SVG 1.9 Prerelease 2 SDK and player for MIDP 2.0 devices.

2005-03-10 TinyLine SVG Player and SDK 1.8.2 released:
TinyLine SVG Toolkit is SVG Tiny Player and SDK. TinyLine is Java and runs on various Java flavors (J2ME MIDP2.0, Nokia Series 60 MIDP, J2ME Personal Profile, Java 1.1 - Java 1.5).
TinyLine can be used on variety of devices that are not shipped with built-in SVG implementations: mobile phones, handhelds and desktops.

2005-03-06 TinyLine GZIPInputStream 1.8.2 for J2ME CLDC released:
TinyLine GZIPInputStream is a J2ME CLDC implementation of the standard java.util.zip.GZIPInputStream API that defines an input stream for reading compressed data in the GZIP format. The 1.8.2 version has a smaller size and the skip length bug is fixed. See at

2005-01-29 TinyLine SVG Player for Web released:
By public request, I released TinyLine SVG Player for Web (tinyline4web).
Not everybody is able (or willing to) install SVG plug-ins. The tinyline4web is a pure Java[tm] solution so there is nothing for you to install. There is no plug-ins or installable components needed for you to worry about. All you need is a web browser!
The tinyline4web works on all the major browsers (tested on Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and Opera with Java[tm]) and thanks to the platform independent nature of Java[tm] it will work on all platforms as well. (Tested on PC, Mac and several Linux and UNIX configurations.)
It has a small size of only around 100K and allows for fast loading and display SVG Tiny files.

The TinyLine SVG Player 1.8 provides precise and accurate SVG Tiny rendering, full support of animations and events. The TinyLine SVG SDK 1.8 makes it easy for J2ME applications to deal with SVG Tiny content. Using TinyLine SVG SDK, a J2ME application can straightforwardly integrate SVG Tiny viewing capabilities.

2004-11-14 TinyLine GZIPInputStream 1.8 for CLDC 1.0:
TinyLine GZIPInputStream is a CLDC 1.0 port of the standard java.util.zip.GZIPInputStream class that implements an input stream for reading compressed data in the GZIP format. In order to be compartible with the NTT MIDP DoJa platform the java.lang.IllegalStateException was replaced with the java.io.IOException. The big files bug is fixed.

TinyLine 1.5 API JavaDocs is published. Currently only the TinyLine for J2ME Personal Profile is in sync with the API.

With a small footprint of less then 30k of byte code, it is especially suitable for embedded applications. TinyLine 2D is currently being used in TinyLine SVG Toolkit project and several others under development. Downloads for MIDP 2.0, Nokia series 60 and J2ME Personal Profile are provided.

2003-01-14 TinyLine SVG toolkit: version 1.3 beta released
Core classes of the TinyLine SVG Toolkit now CLDC/MIDP based. It means that the TinyLine can run over virtually all J2ME profiles. Java APIs and TinyLine SVG Viewers with source codes for J2ME MIDP 2.0 and J2ME Personal Profile are provided. The results of TinyLine tested against the SVG Conformance Test Suite (Tiny) are included.
